The 2705 is another high quality table saw from Makita. This saw has all the latest bells and whistles. The Makita is powered by a 15 Amp motor that delivers a maximum of 4,800 rpm. This motor features an electric brake for maximum productivity. The right extension table improves the ripping capacity to 25 inch, large enough to rip 4×8 sheets of plywood. The dead-on cam-locking rip fence system is the only area where we think Makita can make some improvements. The maximum cut depth is 3-5/8 inches at 90 degrees and 2-1/2 inches at 45 degrees.
The Makita 2705 features a new tool-less modular blade guard system, making it easier and safer to operate. This system allows the operator to see the blade while cutting. The aluminum die cast table top is precision machined and provides a smooth, accurate cut. The riving knife adjusts to three different positions for through-cut, non through-cut and dado cuts.
Makita is known for producing top quality power tools and this saw keeps that tradition going.
